Hello everyone. I don't normally comment but this brought tears to my eyes. My beloved husband also passed away on 23 April, 2024. So this episode was very poignant. Especially when she said, "Peter said "I'm really sorry that I have to leave you after 50 years ." " My husband passed away on our 36th wedding anniversary. He was an architect and I love my home and garden as it is a constant reminder of his intelligence and love for our family design. Thank you Alison for knocking on the door of Maryly's house and inviting us into her home and garden. I learned so much and loved her gentle disposition and love for their beautiful life and home. I think I saw a hummingbird in the background at about 28:13??? Not sure as we do not have any in our area. Love from sunny Sydney, Australia.

Your garden looked so familiar, so I looked through my Facebook photos and sure enough, I have three photos of the front of your house from 2012. The same garden gate, planters, and peak of your roof showing through the lush vegetation. I was on vacation there (I live in Idaho), and happened to be walking by and was captivated.
