It all started when Roger Federer asked us to make a new racket for his final tour...

In March 2024 – Wilson sat down with Roger to chat about his iconic rackets over the decades, the art of building his legacy, and to discuss what was in the works for him ahead of his retirement in 2022.

So in April 2022 he really believed in his comeback to the tour and to be playing with this new racquet… it’s like a pang to the heart, I miss his tennis so much. I hope he plays some exhibitions again one day.

So many club players back in the day using a 90 racquet inapropriate for 99% of all humans just because Federer was using it, haha. As he said in the video, you wanna be like your hero. Thank you for everything, Roger !

Like how he mentions Rafa being the reason he had to change. A true rivalry.

What is really interesting is to hear Roger talk about his thinking process, the why, how, the options, the trials and errors. We all love top level tennis but we also love to hear about the walk to the top performance / the inside path. Player hide all of this during their career, but after retirement, players should be able to open up. Wilson has always been a great brand. Great video!

It's because of Roger that I love and own a few Wilson racquets 🎾 ❤️ My favourite one of all time is the K Factor Six One Tour 90.

I wish Wilson would release some Prostaff 90s for people who still like playing with them.

Hitting with a smaller frame is still the best feeling you can get in tennis. Although I have upgraded to my RF 97 (and Pro Staff 97 Countervail before that), every now and then I go back to my beloved Pro Staff 95. That racquet is just pure magic.

I still own many of the 85's and 90's but settled on the 97S and really love it for the extra spin and even balance.

His forehand with the 85 was a laser beam

He is the greatest player of all times. He is asking for something with more spin for the forehand, so I´d like to see him hitting the ball with the new Shift. That is the final test for that racket

I really miss Roger playing tennis, after he retiring from tennis, I have not watch a tennis match since then, the magic is gone. But I still playing tennis. With a Blade 98s, but I have pro staff 85, 90 and RF97 in my locker. Looking forward to see the new Roger racket on his 43th birthday, I'll definitely buy the racket.
