Lets make a SLIP BOBBER RIG to catch some catfish! Slip bobber rig is a versatile rig to use when targeting catfish. You can adjust the depth at which you want your bait to sit; the rig can cover large areas as it moves with the current or wind; and it can suspend bait over sunken cover where bottom rigs are sure to snag. It'll catch all species of catfish (blue catfish, flathead catfish, channel catfish and bullhead). The slip bobber rig is an absolute must know for all catfish anglers.

I need to try the braid bobber stop knot that you tied. The thread type bobber stops from the store don’t stay put very well for me. Thanks 👍🏼

I like to use the polymer knot too. If you tie the leader to the swivel first then you can tie the swivel to the main line and tie the hook last.. Polymer knots for everybody!

You can get two Palomar Knots on the swivel if you do the leader 1st and then palomar on main line and last the hook which I also do a palomar on.

Knots are breaking points. Use a rubber stopper to avoid the first knot (top knot). Use braid to dispense with the leader. A rod with slow action can make up for the lack of line stretch.

I’m always heard flouro and improved clinch don’t work well together so if I get in that spot I tie a Gerald swindle knot.
