The aim of IPFS is to create a decentralized file system and a peer-to-peer hypermedia protocol that’s designed to preserve and grow humanity's knowledge. This protocol has the potential to become a pillar of the web, but HTTP will always be relevant and useful. One thing that concerns me is the storage capacity of the network. If you can't delete old content how can you avoid filling up the entire address space with garbage?

So, basically when using IPFS you can download content from any peer on the internet and any peer can download content from you too?

Can someone change the content without authorization of the content creator, assuming only a few nodes held that content?

This IPFS stuff will be beneficial in the end for multinational companies because as you're giving away your bandwidth for free, this will reduce their own bandwidth consumptions. Though, I still can’t get why would you actually pay for your own bandwidth if you give it away for private interests?
