This video is why GNS needs to be the top subbed 7Days channel. The shoutouts to other channels, proves ultimate class in character. I really appreciate how Tem gives credit where credit is due.

It's always, always cool to see different big-brain ideas of how to handle a horde base.
And it's awesome of you to shed some light on other creators too!

I love the tempo and structure of your videos. Just got a friend into the game and this was the perfect video to drop as we start facing more difficult hordes. Keep up the great work, you’re among the top in my eyes.

Thanks for including my tiny boom base Tem! I don't consider myself a builder by any stretch of the imagination but I do enjoy bases with maximum explosive potential 🤭 My favorite cheaty base is blade traps hanging off the side of a 2 wide runway and a 1 inch gap between the traps and a repair platform... basically AFK horde base if you have a couple hundred of steel to repair throughout the night lol As always... this is a wonderfully put together video and great horde base tips 🥰 Ur always dooooing it Nemesis!!!

Not sure if you mention this later in the video, but I notice, at 9:10, you have the barbed wire running perpendicular to the path the zombies are taking. If you have it running parallel with the path (where the wire on the individual barbed wire block/item is going in the same direction as the path), it slows the zombies more effectively (there's a brief moment between barbed wire blocks where the zombies aren't slowed if it's perpendicular).

Awesome video so far - eager to see the rest. Finally subbed too. Not sure what I was waiting for.

Two suggestions I have for you: 1. Place the Blade Traps vertical directly over the walkway, alternating sides where they're slightly offset from being centered. Reason being is they have a better head-hit chance for running zombies and you get contact the entire run. 2. Placing a ramp frame on its side at the melee point with a roof that stops them from stacking will force zombies off the path as they squish in without running risk of setting off Demolishers like the Sledge Turret does sometimes. It's off balance looking but very effective... try it out 😉👍

Excellent video, really appreciated the references out to other people's specialty videos for deeper coverage on topics.

I miss the days before zombies got engineering degrees...

He REALLY needs to either pin a comment or add something on screen to tell people that as of A21 Bunker bases no longer work so people like me dont waste 8 hours digging one out just for them to ignore the opening and tunnel right down to me...

For Rage mode, if you haven't seen the info or it's not mentioned elsewhere in the comments, you just need to be +11 blocks from the ground and they'll try to path to your player height (as long as a path is there) rather than enter rage mode. It pretty much defeats rage mode. They can still enter it if there's no path or after they reach your height level.

Thanks for this man, I love 7dtd and started Undead Legacy because of your series. I struggle a little bit with Horde bases and this guide was extremely useful. Love the content brother, keep it up.

I've only recently started watching your channel but I've already started incorporating the tips you gave in your Darkness Falls series. Your builds are highly effective and extremely stylish!! Thank you so much for making this video!

My buddy and I have always used a slightly altered variant of the turtle base. We'd build a house like base on the ground, then dig out a trench usually 4-5 blocks in width surrounding the base, and dig out a "basement" structure under the house which housed what we call "The Gore Hall" The Gore Hall is a basement structure that is larger in width and length than the above base, and houses an inner section to enter the base above, with a surrounding hallway lined with bars and downward facing stair blocks for the ability to fire at zombies on the ground or digging below. The trench would be filled with spikes with a line of barbed wire on the blocks directly outside the bars, slowing zombie travel. For entrance into our base we'd either hope we're really good at parkour or temporarily make a frame bridge to then destroy, until we get a drawbridge. Usually my buddy stays topside with an LMG and I stay in the Gore Hall with my trusty Auto shotgun. As the base goes through more horde nights, the trench is gradually expanded by zombies breaking blocks, especially demos. It's not a perfect design but the use of the trench slows down the zombie advance drastically and leaves us out of sight of police zombies long enough to kill them before they can even spit. We've had 2 big time bases with this design philosophy, One was utterly annihilated as we put our game stage really high as our sendoff to that playthrough, and the last one received major damage on one occasion but was never destroyed. We're actually in the beginning phase of another play through with Alpha 21 and we're absolutely gonna do it again as it makes horde night so much fun

I like this video. It gives some nice tips. Can you do a video where you go over a few bases to show progression of style and preparedness from night 7 to night whenever the horde stops getting worse?

I actually avoided that block guide video while looking exactly for that and never finding it because it looked like a glitch video, I'm glad I've rewatched this 3 times so it could finally click lmao

HORDE BASE HOHAHAH! It has been great to follow the evolution of the GNS style bases. I think my favorite is still the Vanguard base, the the Citadel of Steel being a close second
