Second year growing in pots. I 100% prefer to slowly increase the pot size as everytime i increase the pot size i check on the roots and properly amend the soil in the new pot. It has worked wonders

18 gallon containers for the 4 I bought from you last year. They grew very fast! They are beautiful this year.💜

I grow in large 55 gallon drums cut in half sometimes. The pot isn’t moveable because of the heavy mineral soil, but we have mild winters. I do it primarily because gophers devour them, so I either plant in a big pot, a big pot with an open bottom with metal mesh, or in a basket in the ground.

Year one I grow in pot (sometimes the pot they came in); after that they're in ground, babies!!! I'm a big fan of your channel.

Hey Travis, I was recently in Georgia coastline went to Tybee Island nurse Savannah. There is a fort on that island that still has a fig tree that was from an orchard planted and 1800 they could not tell me what kind Of fig tree it was they did say they do not prune it. They said in July you could eat some from it, but I’m not gonna be there in July.

I put the black malta figs i got from lazy dog farms last year in half wooden barrels, they stayed out side all winter up next to the house, and look great

Yes, too big pots horrible for figs. Grow bags with handles are amazing because they air prune, too, so your fig doesn't need up potting.

Got Ge Neri last season Travis, shipped too soon bounced back, stored in winter in basement up & going 💪 . If I get figs, I will purchase more, but I will experiment in the process. However beautiful fig tree so far. Ty Travis

What about fig wasps? Aren’t they necessary for growing proper figs?
