I like to imagine there is a dedicated employee at Maxis in charge of making Simsie happy (Simsie Happiness Officer) who suggests things like this swatch update. They refreshed their computer 2:00 pm on the dot (PST), eagerly awaiting her video building with these swatches. Slowly, their smile fades. She’s happy, but it’s not enough. It’s never enough! Will it ever be enough?? Another sleepless night for SHO, scribbling notes for the next swatch update. They’ve got it this time. They even get a little sad thinking about what they’ll do with their life once Simsie is finally happy. What is like to achieve one’s true purpose? They fall asleep with their notebook open on their lap, confident in their plans for the future of the Sims 4. But when we look closer, there’s only one word scribbled on the pages, over and over: SIMSIE

I hope they slowly update the swatches on everything, because they've always desperately needed to have a decently sized base palette that applies to everything. Extra funky colors on top is cool but all their items should at least have the option of matching.

The items updated were the ones that would overlap with the style of Lovestruck. Its Mexico city themed which uses a lot of the mission style that was already in the base game. The expansion added tons of color to home building but the base game mission style items weren't colorful and didnt match despite being the obvious style choice. So those are the ones we see being updated. 😊

I have been silently begging for more mermaid tail swatches for years. I want to make themed mermaids for each world since they unlocked ponds and such. I'd even be happy if they would just give us the design tool used on horses/cats/dogs

My parents finally gave in and put in turf grass on a small part of the backyard. They love it now. It’s easy to clean, barely any maintenance, and it stays cool so it’s nice to walk on barefoot.

It would be my dream job for EA to hire me to go through every single swatch for every item in every pack/kit and give them a list or spreadsheet of swatches to add so things can match better. It would take over my entire life, but I'd do it.
