Thirty seven years ago, I rode around Malaysia and the experience has remained a cherished memory. Having just stumbled upon your beautiful video, you may have given me all the encouragement needed to return. Thank you both so much for sharing your journey. Awesome!

The palm area is the only place you can access. The forest area is for reserved. Malaysia is one of the country in the world with a huge forest reserved.

1:48 The British brought oil palms to Malaya (before we gained independence) since 1870s. The deforestation started by the British colonials to cultivate coffee, then replace it with rubber plantations - with more opening of lands. The commercialisation of oil palm plantations started in 1917 by the British colonials with another more deforestation. Since few decades ago, the oil palms plantations replace rubber and that's why you see oil palm plantations is everywhere. Now many people are dependant to this industry. Who to be blamed at first place? BTW, Happy Travelling!

Knowing that a bike on the road isn't always good times, the people and the landscapes of Malaysia alongside your video editing made it all look so friendly and welcoming. This is pure happiness. A week on a 5-star resort is nice but this... this is being human

I like these two, Youtubers who came to Malaysia often only show the big cities and rarely ever venture deeper. Videos like this are rare gems, the fact that they're so humble is a massive + also

The fact that, malaysia STILL had over 55% rain forest, which is much much more forest compare to USA(34%) and Britain (13%). Even whole europe (40%) by ratio. Although some say oil palm destroy nature, we beg to differ coz compare to other plantation in europe usa so on... your crop mass farming / big farm.. which need to be plow every year, pestizing, fertilizing and so on... which also destroy the earth...

In contrary, our palm oil tree last over 25 years before replantation. So meaning we are much more more friendly to the earth and soil. even palm oil output per acre is better than any other crops of the world. Tq for visiting malaysia anyway. Hope you both enjoy our hospitality 😁.
And I wish safe journey for both of you. God bless.

I have to say, even though I’ve only been there once and in KL no less, the people of Malaysia are one of kindest, warmest and most helpful. Lovely country, lovely people. Thank you for sharing your lovely journey. Cannot wait for the next segment. Thailand will be just as lovely as well I am sure. Thai people are amazing too 🎉

As a Malaysian who is living abroad, thank you for showing the beauty of Malaysia. Made me realised how much I've missed home. Wish you all well and safe in your endeavour!

About the palm oil, yes some deforestation occur. However, malaysia still maintain at least current 54% forest coverage. Malaysia strictly followed the EU regulation. Because we followed the regulation, malaysia now can export their palm oil to europe. Palm oil is malaysia commodity and it is mainly contribute to our gdp besides petroleum. Yes now we are trying to move and create new source of income, now we are moving to digitalisation, ai and semiconductor to reduce dependancy on palm oil and petroleum. But let’s being real, other countries also do some level of deforestation and plant crops same goes to europe and usa.
