Okay this is wild. My wife and I were literally just watching the original Starship video as YouTube was serving up an 80's playlist. I then switched over to the subscriptions tab and since we are one of your subscribers, you were top of the list with this video. Another PERFECT cover song. Your family is amazing. I've watched a ton of your videos and I am always so impressed by everyone in the band. You are all such accomplished musicians. Music is a powerful force that unites all nations and all ages and I think it is so beautiful when a family can all play music together. One of my favorite covers is your Don't Stop Believing by Journey. Don't get me wrong, you are all so good but I have to say I am impressed the most by the little boy on the drums... so ahead of his years. I grew up when most of the songs this family band recreates dominated the airwaves. I can tell that the youngsters have tremendous talent and must have practiced their butts off to produce this kind of sound. I lived in their country for a while and I’m not unfamiliar with what role music plays in their life.

Lots of people watching their performances marvel at their musical skills, the majority of whom are either of anglo origin or well enculturated in its ways – a lifestyle which heavily emphasizes the technical aspect of everything.

That is not why I admire these young musicians (in addition to the dad and the mom, who are accomplished members in their own right).

One, because music ain’t just about technical skills, crucial though they are. In the words of the guitarist of Toto, it’s how one translates that skill set into expressions of self. Here, Missioned Souls truly excels. Technocrats like Polyphia are more akin to automated machines than humans, vain, soul-less and boring.

Two, the most beautiful thing I see in all of them is the harmony among people and the overflowing passion. These aficionados of vibrations do restore faith in humanity in this damned sinister world. Love ‘em.
