I don’t know if it’s possible to model this in game but the modern AMRAAM is able to boast pridefully that although it may not be the longest range, have the biggest warhead or most maneuverability in the medium to long range missile category it without a doubt has the most advanced and best seeker. As Raytheon says “the notch window is so small on the AMRAAM that it might as well not even exist”

Hard to imagine in 50 years these types of air battles being fought with human pilots

This is a game and only a game with to many parameters missing or utterly wrong.
These scenarios' are far from a real combat simulator let alone a real world combat environment.
As for entertaining well it kicks arse, I could watch this all night instead of the idiot box called the television.

PL-15 was first test fired in 2011 and entered service in 2015/2016, AIM-120D3 was first test fired in June 2022, there's a 11 year gap and China certainly didn't stop work to wait for the US to catch.... So it won't even be PL-15 US has to face when flying D3 or 260, it'll be either the latest PL-15 variant, or PL-17, or PL-21, or a newer model nobody knows about.

Not sure how feasible it is but if you want to do missile vs missile, could you just use the same aircraft on both sides?

I would like to see this with su35's and R77M's. The su35 has the saturn 41 engines which might help it with speed.

Considering an F-15 has never been shot down in AtA combat in real life. Whatever the simulation shows is just a simulation.

I just read an article that China posted saying during a simulation they could sink a whole CSG with their hypersonic missiles launched from the gobi desert. Which in real life a modern American aircraft carrier has never been sunk, tells me that simulations can have the outcome of whatever you program.

It's also radar, performance, very hard to take Russian and Chinese specs as accurate. We're seeing that live. That's the peril of using open source

There is no way in hell the J-15B is lighter than the SU-35. The J-15 is a carrier based aircraft, meaning it has to have reinforced landing gears, bigger stronger heavier wings and it even has a canard that has more drag plus the additional weight of the structure plus actuators. Secondly you stated in the viseo that the su-35 has the Saturn Al-31 engines, which is again, not true. Between the J-15 and Su-35 this isn't even a competition.

The Chinese had far closer airfields avoiding needing to run further from the missiles while the Americans had to keep flying around further to be hit.
