I did make a mistake here, around the 5:00 mark when he does those bends 6 times after that he hits the same notes on the e string going up then down. I hit frets 21-22 on the high e after the 6 bends when its really 20-21 on the e, then 19 on the b then 20hammer21-17 on the e. Then he bends right after that on the 19th fret of the b. Hopefully that makes sense

I've been playing this since 79' and you definitely have a gift. With that said, what Ive been through and seen so many very talented musicians go the wrong way, from alcohol, drugs and hangers on. Just stay humble and remember why you do this. I don't mean to sound like a "Dad" just don't want to see anything bad happen to such a talented person...Im 58 and still play every day. Take care

Great job man! I’m 52 and been playing since I was 11 years old. I was playing that when I was a teenager. I still to this day get requests to play that piece on a regular basis. It’s great to see someone younger still carrying the torch and keeping great music alive. Good job!

Whoever gave this a dislike is off their rocker.
Joshua you remind me of Randy Rhodes! You absolutely have a gift! I watch all your videos... you just need an “Ozzy” to come and snatch you up, yes you are that good... so many greats rolled into one with your own style... Remarkable!!!

Not everyone wants to take solos to the degree you take them. Most want to get close to where it sounds somewhat decent and throw it up on here and see what comes of it. I look for nit pickers like yourself that not only play tremendously but strive to dissect these great solos and burn the midnight oil to nail them down. I respect the hell outta that. You are an amazingly good player. Thanks for the tutorial. You did a good job explaining it. 👍

Hey! Anybody else get chills up their spine at the A in the beginning? Then with the hammer-ons. Then with the vibrato dive...And then again... and again. And again.

I think this is the alien language of my cosmic roots. Edward was simply speaking it through his hands and speakers 🔊. And I love hearing it!

Looking forward to hearing YOUR music! Thank you!

Great breakdown Joshua, thanks for showing the subtle nuances. A lot of people incorrectly leave out that stuff when they do Eruption. Your attention to detail on this is amazing. \m/

Aside, I’ve been watching you go from like 200+ subs, now to almost 1K in 6 months! That alone is saying A LOT!!

Thanks a million for this! I've tried learning from several different tutorials but they never quite nail that specific groove you hear on the album. Nice work man!

Interesting take on the first fast lick. It is very hard to get to Eddie’s speed using 3 pick strokes on that section, which a lot of guys do and to me doing it all on the B and G strings doesn’t sound right. I’m going to start trying your 2 picks (G and open E) and “hammering on out of nowhere” approach to the B string. Thanks!
