This totally sucks. Nucor has a long history in their other locations of spreading toxins and contaminating land and water on a wide scale. And this quite country community with some of THE BEST farmland in the whole state is being ruined. Bringing tons of people. Running up the cost of land where the locals who have spent their entire lives here, often for many generations, can no longer afford to buy land and homes in the coming generation.
And they are not hiring very many locals at all. So they are importing tons of new people coming here without even providing jobs for those who already live here. The whole thing is a bad situation. Nothing to be cheering about.
