Years ago a young lady came to visit my home. I'm a photographer and I hung a lot of work on my walls. After a few minutes, she teared up. I asked her what's wrong.
She said "Everywhere I look I see something beautiful."
Best compliment ever.

My wife and I adopted our niece. When I took her to get her driver’s license we then went to a local dealer and let her pick out the car she wanted. She said, “Thank you for being the dad you didn’t have to be.” My heart shattered in the best way possible.

“I appreciate you and the sacrifices you’ve made to support our family.”

My wife of 32 years was playing in a concert 80 miles away up and down a few dark canyons. I volunteered to take time off work to drive her because I was worried for her safety, she does not like driving on those roads at night. She said "Thank you for coming with me and making me feel safe". That was all it took to make me feel again like the young man she married.

“You’re a good husband and a wonderful father.” That’s the absolute best compliment I’ve ever received.

A friend for over a decade told me, "To me, you are the best parts of John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, and Charles Bronson, a real man of men, and I am grateful to call you my friend." I could not think of a better complement.

In fourteen years of marriage, I can't remember one compliment from my ex or her two kids. In the final days during a therapy session my ex finally admitted that I was only a paycheck for her and her kids. I was gone within a week. She was with another guy the day after I left. Two years later, after I healed, I was getting compliments and was so broken that I didn't know how to handle them, and didn't believe what they said.

I work in pest control, and had a customer tell me yesterday that I had a sweet spirit. She has no idea how much that simple compliment made my day.

Being rejected everyday hurts but I’m still here after 15 years. It’s the love for my 4 year old that keeps me here not the love that has gone away

My wife is not one for compliments but she has always been 100% support for me. Many many years ago in the early part of our marriage we had a major rift happen with some of her family and me due to a controversial issue. She 100% stood by my side even though she didn’t necessarily agree with me. Years later the relationship with the family is perfect and we have been very instrumental in taking care of them. So instead of saying compliments she proved her love and support of me. That’s exactly what I needed at that time to carry the family. 33 years strong.

Best thing I ever heard from a woman, "...you're a good person who does good things, I trust you". Oddly enough, did not come from the person I was in a relationship with.

I took my niece to a hospital due to a medical emergency. When she was in bed recovering she held my hand and said: "You could have been a good father". It melt my heart.

My wife compliments me always... "Thank you for taking good care of us, I don't know where we will be without you". This keeps me mentally sane at work.

I'm 67 and I am so lucky because I have found such a woman who speaks so complimentary to me.

I closed my eyes and imagined someone telling me these things and my heart melted. Someday…

"Your ex was an idiot for leaving." That was a great one.

Oh wow, I actually teared up. Haven’t gotten a compliment from a woman in forever.

I married the first and only girl that bought me flowers! That is an honest statement.
