Do you meal plan and grocery shop like I do?

I meal plan every week. I hate coming home from work & not knowing what to have for supper or the meat will be frozen when I decide what to make. It's just easier to know what to make ahead of time and have all the ingredients ready. I even make my grocery list according to the layout of the store so I don't have to back track where I was previously. Just a FYI - I have those LED candles and I love them! I use rechargeable batteries from Amazon because of the price of regular batteries. Our charger will charge both AAA & AA batteries. The Amazon brand does a good job.

I have been planning my own meals for 8 years. I love being an empty-nester and on my own. I have no one to answer to. Plus, I go out for a treat...I cook for myself most of the time. When you prepare your own meals...you control how much fat, sugar & salt are in the foods that you eat. I guess that I am true to the career that I chose for myself. I am a Dietary Technologist. I enjoy my "treat meals"...I never deprive myself. It's all about moderation & controlling the quantities that you ingest. Usually, people eat too much. 👍😊 Too much of good thing. Renee, you can freeze egg roll wrappers. I usually separate into groups of a few, wrap in plastic wrap, and put the individual groups back in original pkg. They'll do well in the freezer for a few months.

Hey Renēe, I'm just like you first thing on a Monday morning I go do a biggish shop for the week. This normally takes me a couple of hours or so, then the rest of the week if anything is missing or needed then I walk down to our shops near by. Here in Germany we don't have a Walmart 😢but most of the supermarket's are all next to each other 😊 Enjoy your cooking and food, and have a great week! 🌞👍

Thanks for posting! Hubby and I are empty nesters as well. I definitely had to change the way I cooked after my 2 kids left home. We are not the type to 'fix a sandwich' for dinner. My Hubby still enjoys prepared meals.
