I've noticed that Volpe is actively trying to hit the ball the other way. That is great leadership. Allow the ball to get deeper in the zone and hit what the pitcher gives you. The rest of the team is taking note. They won by hitting the ball to the opposite field.

Gerrit is unbelievable. Definitely Cy Young winners(should be about his fourth). Color has been really coming on and Riz has unbelievable confidence now since they outlawed the shift. He even drilled one to left field! I believe that's thee first opposite field hit I've seen from the slugger.

Bibee looked good for just his 2nd MLB start. Hope he didn't get anything broken on his glove hand.

Game 31: We needed this win. Volpe with his 3rd homer of the season and Calhoun with his first dinger as a Yankee as New York wins 4-2. Gerrit Cole had a decent start today, giving up only 2 runs in 6 innings. Hopefully this will shift the momentum a little bit. Go Yankees!

Guards SP Tanner Bibee pitched pretty well through 5 but, started to lose momentum in the 6th.

Too bad, the Cleveland offense could not generate more than 2 runs of support for Bibee, to possibly collect his first win on the road. Sigh.

A tough loss for the guardians but you can't expect to beat the Yankees if you can't quit giving up home runs all the time and karinchak losing the game for the Guardians really got me upset he either needs to be traded or sent back to Triple-A Columbus but aside from that the Yankees will lose game 3 I've seen a vision of it Shane Bieber will absolutely clobber them and have seven innings of no Run baseball if he doesn't get a no-hitter the Guardians can at least if they win that game they have a chance to still win this series and tie the season series but Karinchak needs to sit out tonight's game
