I stood the same guy up 3 times in college. I was undergrad and he was in a Master’s program. He was, also, a musician. Everyone was a musician at the time (In Austin, TX when it was deemed “The Music Capital of the US”. His band was signed to Chrysalis and he invited me and 6 of my friends to their “Intro” party. He said that their first single was a song he wrote for me. I, stupidly, invited my best girlfriend’s. He saw me enter and moved quickly to introduce me to a few people as the inspiration for the single. When they got on stage, he mentioned the same and they put a spot light on me. The song was called “Hour Glass”. After he started to sing the first line, I realized what he had done. I deserved it. I learned, the hard way, not to toy with people’s emotions. It was a great lesson. ❤❤
