You have taught so much so well so kindly, it kind of brings me to tears. Eternally grateful for the timing of Arsha Bodha in my life...I must have been ready and the teacher appeared.

Thank you Swami ji. I needed to hear the answer to the question about vedantic handling of abuse

It's so ironic, how I felt Swami T was the one, after searching and being lost on the Vedanta path for the last decade or two. Glad at least got here in my 40s.

Another Glasgow-based person, going by the name 'Yogi', has previously asked questions of Swamiji on recent satsang streams.

I would like to get in touch with Yogi in order re. Arsha Vidya activities in Scotland and potentially in Glasgow too.

Thank you, Swami 🙏 I loved the way this satsang “wrapped up.” I too, had a similar experience. I was reading and listening to lectures on YouTube and there was a sense that the message being conveyed was the pure truth. Though I enjoyed the various speakers, it was the truths I heard that rang some bells within my being. I had not met my diksha guru yet, but I had been aware of the knowledge for awhile that we learn from EVERYTHING. To me, the guru is not a person or a text. It’s something else I find difficult to describe. Some people and texts have more of it, while other objects need to be sifted through for the gold. Well, it seems that way. 😊 As usual, this was a wonderful way to spend lunch watching this satsang. 😊🙏

For the question on how to deal with toxic people whom you cannot avoid completely, one should listen to Wayne Dyer. He says, ' If you cannot change a situation, then change the way you think'. Another method I use is ' mental detachment'. Being in the same room, I can quietly detach myself from reacting or responding to the person whom I consider toxic.

Regarding ignorance, it may have been easier to resolve by drawing attention to the sub stratum. Thus the clarification between Knowledge & Ignorance

Dandavat Pranam Swami Ji - Answer of the first question have answered my question perfectly. When Enlightenment happens, it is so simple that one is bound to ask why didn't grabbed it previously, then next step is assimilation to make it steady for eternity.

Rituals, to me of personal opinion, lead to a closure to that which is missed.
Respectfully this is greeted.

Pranam Swamiji.
Is the concept of rebirth necessary in Advaita ?. I have read books on talks by advaitins ( Nisargadutta Maharaj)where the concept of rebirths is not supported.
Pls throw light on this issue of rebirths.🙏🏽

In deep sleep, we appear closest to the dwelling atman within. Ignorance occurs when we wake. When we dream, this is the mind only. Deep sleep is selfless, in waking this must be also and in dreaming, this will always be the impediments that arise.

A follow up on your answer on ignorance:

You said that ignorance about true nature of self is beginning-less. And it is removed with knowledge when one gains enlightenment. So, we can say that ignorance, even though it was beginning-less, is not eternal.

Then, how can we say that consciousness, I am eternal.

Why can a change of state happen for ignorance and not for consciousness, when both are beginning-less?
