John MacArthur: WHERE DOES FAITH COME FROM?

Dr. John MacArthur is—far and away—America’s greatest Bible teacher. In 2015, I had a burning desire to understand what the Bible really meant, however, everywhere I searched, all
I found was grossly undereducated men who called themselves “preachers” or “pastors” who were chiefly interested in:
1. Making money
2. Gaining popularity
3. Spreading a false gospel

It was quite obvious to me they had very little Biblical knowledge.

MacArthur, on the other hand, has a vast knowledge of the Bible and goes to great pains to explain it so articulately. I can honestly say that he changed the direction of my life. I am forever grateful to find such a wonderful teacher. Therefore, I’ve created this YouTube channel in order to propagate his accurate and thorough Biblical teachings.

Here you will find a wealth of information on virtually any subject in God’s Word. You can search by scripture, Books of the Bible, or keywords.

MacArthur is not focused on making money, unlike many false Christian preachers today. You can download his sermons for FREE! Just click on this link to go directly to his sermons.

I pray that God blesses you with a deeper understanding of the Word of God!

Thank you, Steve! I listen to Pastor John’s weekly sermons and appreciate your channel. It was great to “see” you 😊 God bless the work of your hands from another former Catholic who’s now a born again Christian.

Yesss! Faith is a gift from God, it is not a work. By God's grace He gave it to us as He called each of us. An internal call which we can't resist. He seals us with His Holy Spirit. I am humbled beyond words.

Pastor John, I was in rebellion
against God, I know there was a God but I didn't know God, The
Holy Spirit came to me, I didn't have a choice. What I'm saying is how can anyone receive Grace/ Spirit when your just going on in your daily duty and it comes down from heaven and
melts on you like butter. I was saved that way. I knew it was of God
because a friend of mine offered me a Bible and I told him no, The same friend that offer the Bible moved out and within a week I spotted something on there porch where they lived, it was the same one he offered me, God worked through this guy to put that Bible on the porch for me, when God saved me that Bible was the only thing that came to
mind, I couldn't get to my place
fast enough to grab it, God is so good, I read and read and compared
scriptures and I could not get enough. Saved By Grace Alone
Through Faith Alone In Jesus Christ
Alone..✝️❣️

Haven’t watched the video yet. Only saw the title and these verses popped into my mind.

Romans 10:17
King James Version
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Hebrews 4:12
King James Version
12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

It is written in Ezekiel 36: 26-27 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them. That is why that minister could finely say in the end, "BECAUSE GOD MAKES THEM WILLING!"

Sometimes the only thing that keeps me sane in the face of the worldly opposition within and without is to remember that I couldn't understand the Cross at all unless He showed me that. (And even this a renewing of the mind by the Holy Spirit) Before I asked Him for knowledge the Bible was just nonsense....if you want to understand how God responds to freewill read Jonah...my flesh hates to cooperate with my salvation. Did not Paul report the same thing? If Christ begged to not take the Cross, even sweating blood, was His flesh on board or did it take a choice? If one man's choice doomed us, and one man's choice saved us, what does that say about the power of freewill that God created for us? What choice should we make everyday? My whole faith is He chose to save us....I say this so we stay vigilant and not become lukewarm, like the Church Christ spits out of His

Only the people, who are not saved, are those who believe they have the free will to choose God (Christ).

according to calvinism, you are programed to believe if selected.

Scripture says faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Scripture does not say that God only gives saving faith to a select few and only saves them but condemns the rest of mankind to hell. That’s a false gospel.

Where does faith come from… it’s been said that faith / belief wether religious or non-religious, is associated with greater signals in the “ Ventromedial Prefrontal Cortex (xMPFC)”, a brain region important for self-representation, and emotional association, reward, and goal-driven behavior. So yes, faith is hardwired in our genes and faith being a good thing, in most cases that, one thing that faith is, essential to our survival.
