Is it important to make zeros on the upside of diagonal 1's in both 2 by 2 matrix and 3 by 3 matrix? I saw some question and answers where the numbers are left as it is on the upside part. Also my teacher didn't ask us to make them zeros as well.

What is difference between Gauss elimination method and Gauss jordan

Quick question: Does the order of operations matter? Can you choose to change everything thats needed to 0 and then go back and deal with the 1's?

Why start with negative row and and then add positive the row?Preference?It seems a bit unatural, it doesnt make any difference in which order you take them tho right?
