Good win here. Extended the win streak to 10 games which is the longest since 2004. The player of the game for the Giants is Sean Hjelle. He came back and pitched 5 scoreless innings after struggling so badly earlier in the year. Let's try to sweep this series in time to face the 1st place Diamondbacks. These divisional games are very important.

I was at this game and congratulations to the Giants on a 10 game winning streak and won the series!!!! Wow I’m so very proud of What an amazing game that was and now try for a clean sweep and I’ll be at tomorrow’s afternoon game and hope Alex Wood does great tomorrow!! I was at the game. Sean Hjelle pitched 4 strong scoreless innings. That 5th inning offense ended up being enough to win the game. 10 wins in a row feels nice. Keep it rolling

I am surprised that San Diego is using Boegarts in the cleanup spot. He seems like more of a singles hitter as opposed to one who hits for extra bases. I would either switch him and Soto or just switch around that top 4 altogether.

Was long ball or bust earlier in the season. Giants way better at situational hitting now: 4 for 8 with RISP tonight.
Small ball is way more sustainable.

Not even a Padres fan but that Padres fan but that blocking call at the plate was absolutely atrocious. He was out by 10 feet, he tagged him before he would have even had a chance to make a move at home plate. The Padres got completely robbed this game

Imagine have tatis, soto, machado, boogarts in the same lineup and getting swept by a bunch of rookies and a few old guys
