What area of Bali is most like Langkawi Island, Malaysia (Pantai Tengah) or Koh Lanta, Thailand (Long Beach / Klong Nin)?

Motorbikes are banned alright, but bikes can go very fast as well. It means you still need to be careful when walking on the promenade... La Plancha, I don't like beach clubs but I like the idea of it being made of wood leftovers basically 👍

Overall, not a fan of Seminyak. Or Kuta. I'd only recommend for tourists surviving on travel memories from 20 years ago, or those that can only travel where there's a simple path between their hotel and places to get drunk.

Seminyak in the mornings - unless you follow the beach, a scammer on a scooter will approach you on every street.
In the afternoons, you'll see drunken ageing Australian Karen in every other bar sounding off to some random issue with the service.
At night time, taxi drivers will agree to a number and then play dumb to the currency they agreed to.


Don't get me wrong - I think most Balinese are wonderful, wonderful people. But this area is a magnet for their worst side.
