When I go to save my video, it doesn’t go to photos it goes to the on the files. How do I change that back?

I have the latest update of 16.7 and my iMovie doesn’t have the option to “Save Video” after I tap the square with arrow. Mine says Save to Files. When I tap that, I only have two options: Save to Downloads or Keynotes app🤷🏼‍♀️ There’s no editing to add the Photos app. My phone is a week old. I just won’t use iMovie. Guess I’ll delete it and download something that’s functional.

I’ve been creating videos in iMovie on my iPad Air. I recently purchased an iPad Pro and would like to access the movie projects I created on my iPad Air. I have not been able to find a solution. I know I can save movies to photos and watch on my new iPad Pro, but I would like to save the project on my iPad Air and then access that project on my iPad Pro. Thanks for any feedback. Thanks.

For those trying and cursing…when viewing a finished video in iMovie click share, then scroll down to Save Video and it will save it in Photos.

Sometimes they make things stupid. Just put “Save to photos” and make it a little easier/more intuitive. Yeesh.

I am stumped! I took several short videos of a wedding and edited each, saved each of them, used export files, saved them in a folder as individual movies. I now need to combine these into a single video. I have not been able to access those movies in the Imovie Media to combine them. In the photos and videos section contains the unmodified clips and if I understand correctly those need to remain because the files are connected in the Movies.

Among those clips I don't believe my movies are in there. Unfortunately the clips versus the modified clips look identical and unfortunately the programmers never thunk of the idea that seeing titles for clips or movies was necessary. (Dumb move)

I need assistance in how to combine the movies because I don't have access within the iMovie program.

I use iPhone.

Don’t click on export video click on share then you can save it to your photos!

That save video button is now gone on my iMovie :(. Did they take that option away after an app update?

It doesn’t have a means that I can see to save it to the iPhone camera roll/recents.
It goes in a loop saving to files :(

After clicking the square with arrow pointing up mine has 2 options to either ‘share’ or ‘export’ then I click ‘share’ which gives and option to ‘save video’ which then saves it to camera roll on my iPad.
