Question1: (00:10)
Calcium carbonate reacts with dilute hydrochloric acid. The products of the reaction are
aqueous calcium chloride, water and carbon dioxide gas.
A student investigated the rate of the reaction between calcium carbonate and dilute hydrochloric
acid using the apparatus shown.

Question2: (03:04)
A student investigated the temperature change when anhydrous lithium chloride dissolves in water.
The student did six experiments.

Question3: (08:04)
Solution A and solid B were analysed. Solution A was aqueous copper(II) bromide.
Tests were done on each substance.
Complete the expected observations.
tests on solution A
Solution A was divided into three approximately equal portions in three test-tubes.

Question4: (11:52)
Fizzy drinks contain carbon dioxide gas dissolved in a liquid. The carbon dioxide gas can be
removed from the fizzy drink by heating.
Plan an investigation to find the volume of carbon dioxide gas in 1dm3 of a fizzy drink.
Include in your answer how you will calculate the volume of carbon dioxide gas dissolved in 1dm3
of a fizzy drink.
You are provided with a small sample (less than 1dm3) of the fizzy drink and common laboratory
apparatus.
(1dm3 = 1000cm3)

Hi Dr. Mona, your video was absolutely helpful! For the experiment, can I say that I'm heating the measuring cylinder using a thermostatically controlled water bath instead of the bunsen burner?
Thanks

hi ms, had a quick q here... in the apparatus change q cant we mention pipette as the volume is fixed at 30cm3 so we can directly take a 30cm3 pipette cant we? and cant we use a balance as well to measure the mass of the lithium crystals?

Thank you so much for the video. Is it ok if I mention a ph value around 12 for calcium hydroxide, for example, 11?

Why is the solid in the question calcium oxide not pure calcium

For the last question, how will we find out the formula for the volume of gas? Is it a general formula or do we have to make it ?
