About this channel: Welcome to my channel. I'm Amber Smith. My husband Granger and I live on a little farm in central Texas with lots of animals and our beautiful, super funny kiddos. We have London, Lincoln, River (who is now with Jesus) and Maverick. This channel is a spin off of our family vlog The Smiths.

I started Arise, when we lost our son, to share my feelings of loss, grief, love, hope, parenting and my faith journey along the way. We comb through scripture, I share what the Lord puts on my heart, I answer questions and more. My hope through Arise is that something I say makes you want to seek Jesus. He changed my life and my heart when I was in my 30s and I've been sharing the good news ever since.

I'm not a person that celebrates Holy Week or Passion Week, nor do I celebrate Easter or Christmas as religious holidays, but I know these historical events are important to learn about, remember, and honor. These are events that I try to honor and celebrate daily, and I especially celebrate and honor the resurrection of Jesus each Sunday through the Lord's Supper (or Communion depending on which term folks use). Amber, I thank you for reminding us that these events are all part of God's plan, no matter how we feel about the plan. May we grow in our gratitude for the love of God and Jesus and His grace that He was willing to go through all of this for us. Also love the reminder that Friday and Saturday may be dark, but through God, Sunday is coming. Thank you for these encouraging messages.
