Glad you found a nib that you like in the M700. Had you tried flossing the Bock nib? I have this pen & it wrote OK with Bock nib. I agree that Moonman (Majohn) could have used one of their nibs & lowered the price. Maybe for the Chinese market, the upcharge for a "German" nib is warranted. Always challenging to determine why a pen exists, who is its market. With a global customer base, there are many "markets" to target. Happy Holidays.

Interesting pen. For some odd reason I like it for all of its “in your face finish, though not particularly the faux Parker clip. A simple long rectangular clip with some lines engraved on it parallel to the acrylic stripes might do it. Thanks for the review.

I haven’t tried changing out nibs on my pens yet. Looks like something to experiment with in the new year.

Stripey toothpaste pen. The other pen this Moonman reminds me of a lot is the Monteverde Sequoia of which I have several.

I like the stripes but, as you say, the pen doesn't write too well. I am deeply suspicious of Chinese manufacturers and it makes me wonder if they have started to copy Bock nibs. I am probably completely wrong about that but the thought did enter my head. I am glad you managed to find joy in giving this pen a nib transplant and I look forward to seeing how it writes when you record PiU.

I'm glad to hear your t-flex nib has a new home. I remember the frustration you had with the Stipula pen not writing well. Did you ever find a nib to pair with it?

Love that striped finish. Currently sold out on eBay at $40. Are Chinese pens getting more expensive? Has the quality improved, or is the price just finding a level more commensurate with demand?
