Omfgoodness you just made my heart burst with goodness, Sir! I haven't heard anyone say "hug [their] neck" in DECADES. I'm GenX/1976 but my Dad was Silent Gen/1930 & Mom is a Baby Boomer/1949- they were 46yo & 27yo respectively when I was born so I grew up with ALL the great films, music, firsthand history & common sense values from THREE generations, plus. When I read that meme, my brain instantaneously recalled watching Poor Little Rich Girl as a toddler with my parents, curled up between them on the couch on a cold winter's night & little Shirley Temple singing I Love You A Bushel And A Peck (And A Hug Around The Neck.) Thank you, Gramps, Sir. Daddy has been gone almost 5y now and though there were distinct generational misunderstandings between us and neuro divergencies that made it difficult for us to communicate emotions toward each other, I loved that man as unconditionally and enduringly as he loved me- a bushel & a peck and a hug around the neck. Thank you for helping me to continue on my healing & grieving journey. It never ends, but it does come with eventual beauty somehow. Daddy, when we're together again, I'll STILL be suck to you like glue & will be expecting the *BIGGEST* hug around the neck. Until then, rest sweetly, I've got this just like I promised ❤

Say what you want folks. Regardless of how evil Disneys creation and existence is, growing up in the LA area having grandparents that could afford to take you twice a year to Disneyland was amazing.
Then moving next to Magic Mountain, out in the desert, as a teenager was heaven.
Now, I wouldn't move back if my life depended on it. Its not the 70's anymore. Not even the 80's, and that was bad enough
