The Mandalorian, also known as Star Wars: The Mandalorian, is an American space Western web television series created by Jon Favreau and released on Disney+. It is the first live-action series in the Star Wars franchise. Set five years after the events of Return of the Jedi and 25 years prior to the events of The Force Awakens, it follows the title character, a Mandalorian bounty hunter named Din Djarin, and his exploits beyond the reaches of the New Republic.

Favreau also serves as head writer, showrunner, as well as executive producer alongside Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy, and Colin Wilson. The Mandalorian premiered with the launch of Disney+ on November 12, 2019, with its eight-episode first season. The series has received positive reviews from critics, earning praise for its acting, directing, writing, musical score, and visual effects, although it received some criticism for its pacing.[1][2] It was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series. The series received 12 Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards nominations, including nominations for actors Giancarlo Esposito and Taika Waititi, and composer Ludwig Göransson.

A second season is scheduled to premiere in October 2020. In April 2020, pre-production on a potential third season had begun.

When the German girl says it, she sounds like she really believes in it, and she's not just acting. Wow. That's how it should be.

It's interesting that in Portuguese they don't say "This is the way" to the letter; instead they say "That's how it's meant to be". They were more faithful to the meaning than to the form, and I like it. Anyone else would like to share anything about the version in their language?

The japanese version sounded like it was their actual voices and not a speaker from speakers in there helmets

It’s crazy how in slavic languages we say it in 2-3 different ways. In Polish, Russian and in Ukranian the saying is totally different. As a Croatian, I understood at least 2. “Takvi su/tako kažu običaji”-those are the customs, that’s how the customs say/dictate. Or “Ovo/To/Takav je put”-literally mentioning that this is the “road”. I think this is beautiful❤️☺️

I be honest, I think Polish one is more fitting.

"Tak Każe Obyczaj" = "Tradition Dictates" / "As Tradition Dictates"

Its more fitting to they culture as far as I know, but time will tell.

Both Japanese and portuguese change the literal phrase to go for a more “liberal” translation

I like how the Italian one sounds for some reason

Fun fact: in Brazilian Portuguese they say "As it must be" instead of "This is the way" I am not sure the reason why

No Brasil também pode se dizer "esse é o caminho".

Yo sí estaba en el camino, pero luego cambiaron el camino, ahora el camino que traigo no es el camino y el camino nuevo me parece muy mal camino... ¡Y te va a pasar a ti!

Russian translators, in my opinion, put a little more meaning into this expression. "This is the way" in this expression is a humble realization that the path of a warrior is difficult and dangerous. But this path must be followed with dignity if you have chosen it. And no matter what you do, difficulties and dangers cannot be avoided along the way. There is a humble will to follow this path, accepting all hostility.

This is what I think is the deeper meaning.

Российские переводчики заложили на мой взгляд чуть больше смысла в это выражение. "Таков путь" в этом выражение есть смиренное осознание того, что путь воина по сложный и опасный. Но этот по этому пути нужно идти достойно если ты его выбрал. И что бы ты не делал, сложностей и опасностей на этом пути не избежать. В этом есть смиренная воля идти по этому пути принимая все неприязни.

Вот такой на мой взгляд получился глубокий смысл.

De hecho una traducción muy literal en español sería "Esta es la vía" bastante parecido fonético al original "this is the way" y al italiano Questa è la via!

I'm sure this has been answered but does Pedro also do the Latin Spanish dubbing for Mando too? Is it close to Chilean Spanish?
