It's definitely a hidden treasure. It's a record that was only pressed once in Japan in 1976. I've been listening to Mal Waldron for years, but I didn't know about this album until I came across a copy last week. I haven't been able to get this record off my record player for days. When I'm out, I listen to it over and over again on this channel on YouTube. It's a record where everyone, especially Mal, plays wonderfully, and Jackie's tone is magnificent, I don't know how he could have played more impressively. Suzuki is as always huge with the double bass, and Billy Higgins plays the drums like a lesson. It's a very important thing that you uploaded this record to YouTube. Congratulations and thank you.

The album in the photos is not correct in attributing this song to Waldron alone. It was co-composed with Billy Holiday, who wrote the lyrics in 1959 on a flight from NY to San Francisco. Waldron based the melody on Billy's lyrics. She died before they could record the song together. The first time it was recorded was as an instrumental by Waldron and McLean on Waldron's 1959 album Left Alone, several months before Billy died. Abbey Lincoln recorded the first vocal version on her 1961 record Straight Ahead, with Eric Dolphy on alto, Waldron on piano, etc.
