In the 90s and 2000s I used to look at Manchester United, it’s manager and players as role models to help keep my positive and give me inspiration, now they are anything but.

Too many of our current squad are not smart enough to play EtH's tactics. They're struggling with having to rotate positions depending on each scenario and I think that causes confusion in defensive transitions hence players not picking up their men. Until EtH brings more of his FIRST choice players in, he might need to keep it simple with a regid formation that requires no positional rotations.

The owners don’t give a shit = the team not giving a shit. This club will never change with the glazers and the weak mentality they have polluted the club with

Yes you are correct. We can have the best manager at the club but if the mentality of the players don't change we will continue to get hammered even by the teams that have been promoted to the premier league. It is a shame seriously. 😢

The moment we didn't buy a very good centre back and another experienced striker i knew we are going to struggle

First time watching the channel. What an excellent level headed overview of what’s going on at united. 👏👏 Other channels take note!

I do think the negativity around this dragging & dragging takeover has created a dark cloud over the club, on top of off-pitch drama (basically one story after another for weeks and weeks), and injuries as well ; all clearly affecting the club / squad. All the drama and distractions seems to have affected the work-rate and togetherness. But the available players and the manager have to get on with it as difficult as it might seem or this season will be calamitous.

Yesterday's match was a disaster-class; it reminded me of the recent Wolves match and likely would have been the result there had Wolves ben a better side. Brighton routinely got behind us and carved us open again and again and our response was hardly convincing ; dropped heads and barely getting back when we lost the ball (even against dangerous transition moments). I do think especially this season ETH is not doing enough in-game management and correct alterations when seeing how the play is unfolding and how poor we are doing. We do this luke warm press and get caught in transition, our positioning is all over the place and no urgency getting back when out of possession. Brighton just the opposite of us, as bright as they can be going forward they immediately got basically the whole XI back behind the ball when they lost possession. And they did so quickly with high effort. Also when we try to play on the counter / be a quick transition team too many of our own players can't retain the ball or the hit the key passes for that tactic to be effective.

ETH going to have to figure this out because its clearly not working and been saying all season our play is just quite awful this term. Also, i think with our transfer business very much showing itself right now. I like some of our signings but overall most of our targets and signings were that of a content to be midtable club and did not nearly properly address our biggest issues from last season.

Defence is key - there has to be a strong foundation from the back - rather 3 defensive midfielders than the chaos we have at the moment - very strange, ten hag waits until the 86th minute to make substitutions at 3-0 down, very stubborn - he needs some help with substitutions. Garnacho has been a fantastic substitute and deserves longer than 4 minutes- substitute rashford

Jesus do people not remember ten hag got us back into the champions league first season and 2 finals winning one of them and look at all the players he lost to injury if the glazers had sold up and he got the players he really wanted like kane kim min jae frimpong pavard we wud be flying give the man time i reckon we beat bayern on Wednesday

I suggest ETH should give the young lads more game time to create competition for the so called senior players. This will instill mentality for playing better football by the entire squad. Football is eleven man game not individual so the selfish ones like Rashford should be bench for a game to learn some lessons and improve for the better.

We will not blame the manager by no means. Those who blame Ten Hag are idiots. However I did not like his comments that we were good and we put a lot of effort, etc. He should be more honest and sincere as he normally is. His tactics and in game management have not been good in the 5 games and he should take some blame.

Alice you are one of the few persons who have actually seen through the crap. Even if we change the manager the same would happen because we have the same players, I cant believe rhe fans cant realise this simple fact. Also the structure just as you said is non existent. Ten Hag isnt perfect but trust me when i say there is a much bigger problem at this club and its starts from the lame players we have. If you doubt me, havent you realised they cant do the basic passing. Its clear theyre just down tools or simply not good enough.

There should be fighting in the dressing room when you lose. More worrying if they don’t care. Glazers aren’t leaving. So we have to get on with supporting the manager and the team.

Why would he take off Rashford over Højlund? Rashford isn’t nursing an injury and Højlund can’t play 90 minutes yet and then play mid week vs Bayern.

Plus the only other striker we had was unfortunately Martial.

Be reasonable, Alice.

People are already calling for Ten Hag's head which IMO is not only wrong but completey counter productive. If you remove Ten Hag then who should be the next manager to replace him and be fired when exactly the same pattern plays out for them? You have to have been living under a rock for the last 10 years to not see the obvious pattern of managers coming in to a poorly run club that overspend and overpay wages on their signings because it's the only way the amateur board can get players into the club when it's such an unattractive club to come to these days, which in turn creates an environment ful of players that don't really care for being at the club in the first place and get stroppy and disinterested when results go bad, heads drop, manager gets thrown under the bus and the cycle gets repeated. We're NEVER going to succeed under the Glazers so at this point it doesn't matter what manager we have sadly. Most of the squad need to be replaced too if we're brutally honest but that's not possible unless Qatar buy the club. It's currently a predictable and never ending nightmare at this club. Ten Hag is making some bizarre starting elevens at the moment and his subs are questionable to say the least but it's not the reason the club is in the mud yet again
