The Totally Rad Show - Rango | Movie Review

Johnny Depp is one versatile actor... but playing a lizard in the old west? What the heck is Rango?!

Alex, Dan, and Jeff check out the newest film from the actor/director team that brought us the Pirates of the Caribbean films, Gore Verbinski and Johnny Depp. This time, they are delving into even more uncharted waters with a CG animated film, that just might not exactly be a kids film. See what the guys think of this very unique film.

This movie Was amazing on so many standards

Animation: was superb top of the line and really proved what computer graphics can do now.

Graphics/Quality: Being in computer graphics myself. I must say that using Pixar's Renderman in this movie was outstanding.

Story: The story was highly original and had a great concept

Humor: I laughed so hard at many parts in this movie I nearly was in tears every joke

I give this a 10 I don't care what these people say

This really shows Gore Verbinski <3 spaghetti western & its some sort of a tribute to Sergio Leone. Its a very trippy adventure yet who loves western should see this. Recommended.

That's funny that these guys don't get Fear and Loathing...I'm sure a lot of people can't wrap their mind around that movie, but to say it was meandering is to show you just didn't get the concept.

Rango is amazing im 15 so i got the jokes but my 5 year old neice didnt so the jokes are made for adults but its a great film i agree with the first guy

People, do NOT go by Dan and Alex. They are WRONG. This movie was fucking awesome. Charming, quite original, hysterical, and has badass action scenes. It is a love letter to films. See it!

@TheKumitechamp Actually it isn't. While the animation is on par with Pixar in quality... it looks too good. Pixar has a more cartoony design for its characters. None of them look remotely realistic: they are stylized. here, Rango is very very real. So much so that sometimes I could have sworn I was looking at a live-action movie. That is just how different and refreshingly amazing this movie was animation wise.
