The PlayStation VR2 launch on 22nd February 2023 is right around the corner, and today we're very excited to provide an exclusive look at the hardware's interior architecture, with two PS VR2 teardown videos. In this video, Takeshi Igarashi from the Peripheral Design team dives into the controller's tracking technology that amplifies the feeling of immersion, with finger touch detection that enables players to make more natural hand gestures during gameplay, as well as the haptic feedback and adaptive triggers that build upon the innovation of the DualSense wireless controller.

ATTENTION: For information only. Do not try this at home. Risk of exposure to electric shock or other injury. Disassembling your PlayStation VR2 Sense controller will invalidate your manufacturer's guarantee.

More and more companies should do this. Have their lead engineers or architects tear down their hardware while explaining what each part does. Its soooo cool to hear from the one who built it explain the use of every part in detail

These controllers are very small. When I hold them comfortably, my thumbs hang over the front. When I go to push the X button, the top of my thumb hits the IR ring and pushes the controller out of my grip. This is going to be a huge issue for me. With no knuckle straps, they're going to fall right out of my hands. I can see some major cramping in my future. I don't feel as though I have large hands, so hopefully this is an issue with lots of people and Sony releases an adult version.
