Gris is my favorite game. Neva is just as good. Seriously, please play this game. If you're worried about frame rate, then other hardware runs it well. I played this game on Steam Deck and got a steady 60fps.

Games like this that take under 10 hours to beat are amazing pallet cleansers between very large RPGs that require about 100 hours each 😅 I'll definitely be picking this up.

I only really had two complaints about the game. Firstly, I found it really hard to tell what was a secret and what was progression, so I'd go toward a secret area but accidentally progress in the game, locking me out. And I also thought the ending wasn't great. It felt kinda cheap tbh. But holy shit this game is phenomenal. 9.5/10 it's genuinely so good

Great review! I played Gris years ago, following the studio from well before the game was released, and followed them in the development of Neva. I have been slow to buy it, but after your review I am sold! You mentioned that the game play isn't long, and neither was Gris, but it's honestly one of the most memorable games I've played to date. I'm glad Neva has that in common with it's predecessor.

I just 100% completed Neva last night and can say it's absolutely worth it. Such a beautiful and emotional game.
Had a few tough platforming segments too.

This game's basically GRIS, but the devs played too much Ori and the Will of the Wisps. The product turned out to be a masterpiece.

Playing through now and enjoying it. I do hope their next game evolves a bit further gameplay wise but gosh the visuals are so good.

I'd neva (sorry) heard of this game until watching this review and before anything was even said, I was hooked by the short clip of music and visuals at the start alone. Similar vibes to Ori but with its own style. I was therefore very glad when the recommendation came quickly afterwards! Looking forward to experiencing this.
