I saw this movie 3 times in one week. A time of innocence we'll never know again...

Bloody well done! You took a good amount of time and effort to make this video showing your love for the movie. The movie I saw when I was probably in 6th grade on re-run Saturday afternoon tv or something. I immediately fell in love with Pookie and her quirkiness all helped along by the fantastic portrayal by Minelli. Her manic obsession and fits of crying were masterful IMO. This movie was like the ocean current with crashing waves of love coming upon you but then the tide ebbing its way out when the love was no more. Unfortunately for Pookie her love would not flow again. So, heaping all over the most romantic scenes was the heartfelt tune by the Sandpipers which to this day bangs up a tear of joy and sadness when I hear the song. The movie also showed the preppy MOD style of the sixties which fell in line with my Clarks desert boots, Lambretta scooter, and fishtail parka. Pookie's character dressed in like manner of 6t's mod girl and her hair style was in tune to those lovely London birds. Minelli had a hidden figure in there somewhere that teased the libido enough for dreams of . . . Anwyway, thanks for creating this caring video.

Gave this wonderful movie a 10 on IMDB. I can't explain what I felt when I saw it for the first time. Really emotional. The movie captures what it means to be in love and how that can hurt.

A song that is heartbreakingly beautiful and sad at the same time. When our single mom Carol passed away from Liver Cancer May of 2011 I quoted several lines from this song as growing up in Ocean Beach San Diego Saturdays were always the best days of the week. Sundays we had the specter of having to go back to school on Monday bExcuse me I quoted lines as part of her eulogy.
