I miss the Wet Seal clothing stores. Great clothes and prices!
Oh, Sam Goody was another favorite of mine and I bought many records there.

Wow. I worked at Casual Corner in the 80’s. Merry-go-round, 5-7-9, and Tom McCann were next to us. Crazy to think about it now.

Thanks a million for this video! I felt like I just went back in time. I am an 80s child and 90s teenager and love the malls. I remember many of these stores and I feel so sad that many are closed now. I enjoy online shopping but still love in person shopping, especially with clothes as I want to feel the fabric and try on the clothing. I remember a number of these stores in my local mall but they are now gone. I am getting nostalgic again. I love your content and will binge watch the other videos! Hope you can upload more. Just subscribed and hope you get more subscribers!👍

I miss some of those stores, but I guess now there is the fun of using apps for fast food restaurants and delivery, or just go online shopping for anything and then see what happens IRL

I remember many of these growing up in the 90s/early 2000s

no, I think you're wrong about 5-7-9 being founded in 1983 because I distinctly remember them (and choosing not to go in there because I thought it was only for really small, skinny girls) in the 70's.

Most of these stores I either never heard of or didn’t like. Only ones, Fashion Bug, K*B Toys, I worked there!

I remember when James Bond pulled a Sharper Image credit card out of his wallet to use in opening a lock. It was an 80s movie, but I don't recall which one.

I used to shop at Merry Go Round all the time in the 80s. I still own nearly all the clothing and accessories I bought there. Same as with Hot Topic. My 2 favorite stores in the mall. Wet Seal was also a favorite. (Jan Griffiths).

With some of the stores I've been to, "struggled to adapt" meant corporate refused to make their overpriced garbage affordable. 😒
