I opposed the protest due to concerns about thugs and hooligans hijacking the movement, leading to looting and violence. While I understand Nigerians' right to protest, I condemn the destruction of properties and looting. The media, particularly broadcast media, share some blame for sensationalizing the protests.

However, I acknowledge that Nigerians have legitimate grievances and the right to peaceful protest. Securing lives and properties is the government's responsibility, and the constitution empowers them to take necessary measures to maintain order.

To address these complex issues, we must work together to find common-sense solutions, such as investing in agriculture and manufacturing, promoting economic empowerment, and tackling pervasive corruption.

As protests continue, I urge security services to maintain zero tolerance for violence while protecting peaceful protesters' rights. Security agencies must be vigilant and address violent elements decisively, safeguarding public and private properties.

May God bless and guide us all, and may God bless Nigeria.

This is exactly what we need, any candidate coming out for an election should first declared his or her assets. Because most of these animals come into power poor and leaving offices with bags filled with our sweat and tears.
