Tooling With Beginner Tools - Project 4 (Part 1)

Показать описание
Let’s walk through tooling a pattern on leather. All the way from preparing the pattern and leather, transferring the pattern, and each step of tooling.

I am using only tools from the beginner’s Deluxe Tooling Kit. And using scrap leather from another project.

Be sure to watch for the next video in this series where I’ll put an antique finish on this tooled piece and construct a sunglasses holder with it.

Thank you for a perfect beginners video! I just recently received my starter kit but haven't done anything yet. This looks like the perfect place to start! Thank you! 👍

Forgive me I can be a pain the things you want to do and the things you have to do I try to get as much then as I can and I seen you with the pizza cutter I'm just wondering is it better to have it locked or do you let it roll I've had it for years and I'm finally using it I'm finally sitting down and straight listening unfortunately I'm just picking up what I can while doing other things previously

Interesting has waterproof properties I thought I was having a hard time getting it wet I had to go through the back I don't think this fellow is you I cannot see him too well his name is top creator for Amazon all I can see he's cutting leather with a laser is 13 Oz for 2 ft I believe believe they say it's ready for tooling though yeah that's probably a big problem for me

Full grain 2 mm Brown tooling leather from Amazon I'm removing the brown now because of tooling looking terrible it's like a color they added I mentioned it on your other video next month I will get the veg tan. I have red tape that I applied to the back of a project and man it would not come off. It's the clear plastic but red I was removing the color with steel wool but the tape is awesome at removing that color I'm tripling it up so it comes off in one piece anyhow my question is can I treat this leather now that I've removed the color to make it a vegetarian I understand it's soaked and salt and then vegetable oil is added somehow from what I heard from my Google Assistant but I don't know the process I'm just wondering if it was something I could do because it will be next month before I can do any more if I don't try something with what I have and I have a knife that I've been wanting to make a sheath for for a very long time. A Rambo knife very very sharp hardest steel I've ever encountered not one of those cheap ones from the 80s if you know if there's anything I can do with it let me know thank you so much for your help

I can't find the pattern? Looks like you could also use it for a bookmark.

I believe my ex-wife is an exception to that rule if you only knew anyhow the leather I'm using is awfully thin I'm thinking contemplating on gluing p i e c e doubling it up is that not a good idea? 2 mm thick I took the coloring off of it because it was showing through when I attempted to tooling my last 9 oz something yours mine is 2 mm Brown tooling leather according to Amazon I'm very green full grain whatever that means
