What will I learn?

The one thing you want to know before starting any educational course is what will I actually learn?
Upon successful completion of your foundation gap year with IDC you will receive not one, but five globally recognised City & Guilds qualification across the disciplines you choose.
When you start the course, which you can do at any point during the year, you pick from fashion, pattern cutting, theatre costume, corsetry, tailoring, millinery and fashion illustration.
The course runs Monday to Wednesday, but the studios are open five days a week from 9am to 9pm and there is always support at hand, so you can work on your portfolio at times to suit your work and family life.
During your foundation you will learn the essential skills to boost your career in garment design including technical sewing and pattern production.
You will also discover how to research and develop your own ideas and get the chance to show off your personal creations on the College and University Forum Catwalk at the Clothes Show Live.
