2014 - A few days out

Instead of churning out multiple 5 or 6 minute films of individual days over the season, I stored them up and have put together one film. I'd like to say it was planned, but was more due to a lack of time during the season! As per usual, there's the inevitable shaky footage, but as always, I never actually set out to make a ski film - I just see what I get as a result of heading out anyway.

It's not necessarily in chronological order, although Fuselage Gully was my first of the season, and Tower Gully was the final run of my season. The film serves as a reminder to me of a great season, despite juggling weather, conditions, work and family life. A limited number of days compared to "normal", but it's quality rather than quantity, and I feel really lucky to get some of the lines skied that I did!

I didn't put everything in here - there were a couple of descents that just didn't produce anything really worthwhile including (e.g. A Minus Gully on Beinn Bhrotain). I skied everything in the film with one exception: Main Rake on Beinn a' Bhuird. I'll go back for that on a more favourable day. Next time I do the The Runnel, I might make some turns right at the top, rather than a sheepish side slip...

The result is quite long: 13 minutes. However, it's broken up in to 4 sections if you don't have the time or inclination to watch it all at once.

Due to song choices, it won't work on mobiles - sorry!

Cheers,

Scott

Thanks Scott, just brilliant...  The Runnel looks crazy though - what completely different-from-normal snow build-up, eh?  Recognised the entrance, but the middle was completely different from the state it was in when I found it...  Thanks for sharing - roll on winter! P

Absurd. Not sure if I'm inspired to try harder or just give up. Great film!
