Lansdowne is a hill station in the north Indian state of Uttarakhand. It was founded as a military garrison under the British Raj, and the Garhwali Museum traces the history of the Garhwal Rifles regiment, which still trains in the town. Close to colonial-era St. Mary’s Church, Tip-n-Top viewpoint is perched up on a ridge overlooking forested hills. Hindu devotees worship Shiva at the centuries-old Kaleshwar Temple.
Lansdowne is a cantonment area in Pauri Garhwal district. It is located in Uttarakhand at the height of 1,700 m (5,600 ft). It is one of the most popular weekend gateway for the people living in Delhi NCR. Total distance from Delhi to Lansdowne is 260 KM.
लैंसडाउन उत्तराखंड का बेहद शांत और खूबसूरत टूरिस्ट प्लेस है। यहाँ की सबसे खास बात मुझे यहाँ सफाई व्यवस्था लगी जिसका जवाब नहीं है। सड़कें अच्छी खासी चौड़ी हैं प्रदूषण यहाँ से दूर ही रहता है। छोटा सा शहर है। एक दिन से कम में भी पैदल घुमा जा सकता है। #Lansdowne #Garhwal #Travelvog
