Update 20.05.
The crashes were related to a defective SSD. After replacing it, Steam OS installed without any problems and was updated and configured as explained in the video. It's been running great lately, even with 6GB of VRAM. Thanks for the videos.

First feedback:
My conclusion: If you just want to play, SteamOS on the Go is "still" the wrong choice. A lot of work is still needed, and my expertise isn't sufficient for that. Unfortunately, the Legion Go with Steam OS crashes quite frequently. I haven't been able to figure out why. The loading screen still freezes. TDP doesn't work as it should, no idea why. I think it's on the right track, but I'll wait until the official release and switch back to Bazzite for now. Deck Wizard's videos are always great, and I'm looking forward to what's coming next. Thank you for your great tutorials.

Considering these are now 499 in the UK it's a cheaper Steam Deck 2!!

It works. Be patient if it seems to freeze on the Lenovo screen after rebooting. It took me about two minutes, and I was about to do everything again.

Just started doing this last night and finally got it up and running this morning. The process WILL TAKE A LONG TIME if i using a cheap usb drive. I used a 32gb usb A to make the reimage and it took forever. Just be patient with it. But i played my first game this morning (Midnight Fight Express) and it runs flawlessly better than windows os. Also simpledecky works great for tdp control. But incase you dont wanna install it yet. Pressing the left legion button and Y can change your tdp (color light changes).

IF YOUR CONTROLLERS ARE NOT WORKING AFTER YOU FOLLOW THIS, MAKE SURE YOUR SWITCH FOR "FPS/OFF" ON THE BOTTOM OF YOUR RIGHT CONTROLLER IS SET TO "OFF"!!! I just screwed myself a whole night of trying to figure out why my controllers weren't working, and I had it is FPS mode unknowingly... FML... Hope this helps someone!

Oh, and make sure you are in Beta Mode and on the Main channel for the update!

I would continue using Bazzite for now until SteamOS allow simple TDP switch in the future updates.

Doesn't Lenovo have its own dedicated tdp management for steam os with a button combo that makes the power button change colors depending on the mode ?

Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me. It stays on the Lenovo screen after it finishes reimaging and reboots.
