There’s one single policy that would do a world of good for our nation: if you aren’t a British citizen, you can’t have social housing. Did you know 1/2 of all social housing in the uk is filled by non British nationals? Did you know 3/4 somalians in the uk live in social housing? Did you know a non British National with children, gets priority for housing over a British National without children? This country is a mad house.

You aren't factoring in VAT (20%) - Petrol (70%) - NI (10%) etc - I suspect most people are paying 70% tax with stealth taxes included

Labour has a front bench of such mediocrity it genuinely is bordering on insanity. As the more astute out there will know this is done deliberately with intent we really are in for an awful 5 + years. The positive is that it may force a move to a better Country for many who are able to.

The huge flaw in raising taxes, is that will stifle or stop economic growth - the higher your tax yield, the slower or less stable your economy will be. We are sluggish now, because the last few years have hammered the citizens of this country and our finances - we have less spending power than we did, and we are all nervous about how much to slacken our belts off, or wrestling potential mortgage hikes as our cheap deals come to an end.

The worry I have is the great hidden tax burden - the stuff that isnt direct and isnt linked to your earnings, so council tax, vat, fuel duty etc etc so on and so forth. This is the stuff we have been hammered with by governments of all colours in the last 30 years.

The worst possible policy is to disincentivise those who work and build their family's value. Those families who over generations build the value of their estate and who imbue their younger members with the same values are the economic backbone of this nation. Those families who are profligate and pass down that indiscipline to their descendants have only to change their attitudes to become wealthy themselves. Government intervention to thwart the wealth generating population from reaping the benefit is a guaranteed method of destroying the nation. To build national wealth those who have the capability of generating wealth must be free and motivated to do so.

Cut tax for working people, cut benefits by 30%! Only allow people into the country who are either sponsored for a job or are skilled workers. Find the communities and people who don’t work and claim the most benefits and cut them ! Unfortunately Labour will have Sadiq and next PM and abbot and 2nd in command 😂

FFS, why would you vote for Labour is beyond me:
- If you work, you will pay more taxes
- If you sacrificed a lot in life to put away some savings, you will pay more taxes
- If you want to pass on the fruits of your work life to children, you will pay more taxes

I will vote for any party that stops all benefit payments to all immigrants who have arrived in the past five years. I include free medical and dental trearment, child allowances, housing subsidies, education and any other welfare payments you can think of. If people come here they MUST be self supporting until a significant contribution has been made the the Exchequer. That should mitigate the tax burden considerably. Come here, support yourself and your family. I wonder how much the ten million recent arrivals are costing us?
