Travel Vlog for Edinburgh Scotland in winter! Are we nuts?
Показать описание
We travel to Edinburgh, Scotland and some of the more famous sites, including Edinburgh Castle, Arthur's Seat, and we drink scotch, all during the winter when crowds are more manageable!
We lost one of our cameras on this trip, so these are just some highlights we still had video of.
We were in Edinburgh in February, so it was cold and windy, but also not crowded at all!
A few tips that weren't mentioned in the video:
As just about anywhere, try to get to the popular tourist attractions as early as possible. You will beat the crowds and get more time to see things on your own schedule. Also, photo and video ops are much easier!
Arthur's Seat is in Holyrood National Park in Edinburgh. To climb to Arthur's Seat, there are actually several different trails you can take. Do an internet search for the different trail options and choose the one that is right for you. In case you're wondering, Becky and I did one of the more challenging ones and it was great, although it had some pretty steep climbs.
As I mentioned in the video, there are several places to have a scotch whiskey tasting in Edinburgh. Many of these are touristy, which isn't to say they're bad, but they will more than likely just focus on the more popular scotches. Try to go to a location that has a broader selection and that has "experts" on hand. Bow Bar is a great option, as you can simply describe the flavors you're looking (i.e. sweet, caramel, fruity, citrus, etc.) for and they will offer up some tasty matches! By the way, we were in no way paid or sponsored by Bow Bar. We just thought they were great!

We also lifted a few photos from Bow Bar's website. Since they were made for a web page, you'll notice they are the ones that are much lower resolution.
