U.N. Security Council meets on Syria

The U.N. Security Council met Saturday morning at Russia's request to discuss U.S.-led airstrikes against Syrian targets that were meant to punish Syrian President Bashar Assad for his alleged use of chemical weapons. Nikki Haley, U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, said she spoke with President Trump "and he said if the Syrian regime uses this poisonous gas again the United States is locked and loaded."

Unfortunately I don't think this "Security Council" is able to do anything. It's a bunch of unimportant people reading prepared statements to advance their country's political agenda. Where is Trump? Where is Putin? These are the guys who should be sitting down and talking, not random people reading statements. If anything actually escalates the UN is going to be about as affective as the League of Nations was. So let's hope it doesn't get to that point.

freedom of speech is one idea that makes this nation great. weather we have the same points of views, ideas or beliefs, there is one thing that is truly missed "unity" . our country is becoming to split apart. this is the only weakness of this great nation. sitting around bitching, becoming the problem, instead of everyone compromising enough to bring us togather in unity. it is to easy to be opioniated seeing these atrocities happening in other countries without envisioning what it would be like if it were at our front doors, seeing our children and family dying horribly. so wake up cry babys, get on the band wagon of unification. make a real diffrence in a positive ways. have a little empathy for those who are caught in the opressivness.
