New Ford Fiesta 2013 - Which? Review

Показать описание

You can spot the '2013' Ford Fiesta by its new bonnet, bumpers, grille and headlights. It now fits in with Ford's latest 'trapezoidal grille' look, and features integrated LED daytime running lights.

New technologies include a voice-activated in-car system called 'Ford SYNC'. This allows phones and music devices to be connected via Bluetooth or USB, and includes Emergency Assistance, which directly connects to local emergency services after an accident. Also available is Active City Stop, a system designed to help drivers avoid low speed collisions, and MyKey which can be programmed to set speed limits for particular drivers.

Having survey feedback from owners of more than 40, 000 cars is something completely unique to Which?, and it will help consumers make informed purchasing decisions. We spend a lot of resources on offering very unique information, including the survey and our lab testing, both of which we think are worth shouting about. Reliability data based on the survey will be helpful to many people, even if you consider it not to be informative to you. Thanks for your comment

@Mark Isacs you are right they are little bit expensive but other rivals in this segment are same at pricing. ..

I don't know what model you are referring to but my 09 1.4 Zetec with 15" alloys has none of that. It is solid on the road and corners flat and the steering is so good I was surprised to read they had changed it. I am wondering if you have a wheel alignment problem.

While we attempt to give away as much information as possible in our YouTube videos, our in depth and independent car testing results are available to our subscribers only. Our lab-based testing is expensive to conduct, and we reserve much of the information from the testing for those who are subscribing to Which?. While you may be able to find information elsewhere, it will not be based on unbiased, measurable and comparable testing like that available from Which?

cheers, Rob

I have the Trend Pack the model under the Titanium.
It has more body roll than I am used to.
I find the rear end lacks compliance too stiff and can skip around a bit, the Focus I traded in had an ind. rear end as well as sports suspension.
The steering seemed to have of its own, and needs a lot of correction, might be the tyres Conti Contact, I don't like them I have read they tend to "tram line" Had the alignment checked they say its ok, the steering seems better since the tyres have worn.

I have a 2012 model two issues I am not fond of, the rear suspension is hard and the car will skip on bumps, body roll is noticable compared to a Focus, and the electric power steering needs needs careful attention as it can drift off. These issues I read have been addressed with this one.
Seats are great tight body no rattles and a smooth gearbox; generally no regrets.

aren't you a little too close to the steering wheel?

If body roll is a big problem you should have tried the zetec-s model, they're slightly lower I personally have no problems with body roll at all, flies around corners

Why can't we have the two door here in America...

Why do most modern cars have such poor visibility?  They car should not receive top marks for safety unless visibility is good.  You should not have to rely on cameras or  reversing alarms in order to be able to see properly.  I was planning o buy this Fiesta, replacing an old one, but the visibility is putting me off.  A friend recently bought a very expensive car and he too is unhappy with the visibility out the rear window and the all round visibility.  Which? as a consumer organisation and other organisations should be shouting loudly about this and campaigning to have proper visibility restored to our cars.

This model doesn't exist on the continent, however there is a 2 door Sport model with lowered suspension at a much higher cost and with a 1.6 litre engine.

Evans halshaw do a really good pcp deal for the fiesta studio, £2500 give or take, then £29 a month for 24 months then a ballon payment of around £5500 or hand i back and get a new car... This is what i intend to do i want a mercedes cla which i can afford at the moment but i may well be going back to uni in which case i couldnt afford it so i see this as a very good wee car to keep me going till i finish uni and can get my cla and might even keep the fiesta finance the remaining £5500 and give it to the mrs (ps im not a evans halshaw salesman) just think this is an awesome deal worth sharing

Good review.
However, Which user reviews based on their feedback are biased, as all their subscribers are old duffers and would prefer a Yaris, or a Honda Jazz. I know, my mum is one.

I completely agree with you, I much prefer the older look, however that being said I will probably end up with this one because I do like what they've added in this one.
I personally don't LOVE the grill. It's growing on me, however my initial reaction was 'IT'S HIDEOUS!! WHYYY?' =P

My Dodge Shadow only had 90hp and weighed about 1000 pounds more. Of course 125hp is enough for this tiny Fiesta
