Very wise words indeed.
1. Self-care is not selfish.
2. Be careful whose advice you buy (but be patient with those who supply it).
3. Play out the narrative. Ask yourself "And then what?"
4. Trying scary things.
5. You are not who you think you are.
6. JFDI - just freaking do it.

I would add one that helped me a lot : change the inner narrative and treat yourself like someone you love. Talk to yourself like you talk to your best friend, cheering them up, supporting their goals and comforting them when they need it. Takes time but it's so worth it.

This had so much truth! Think as Pippi Longstocking: "I have never done this before, so I am absolutely sure I can do it"

I started hiking and camping outdoors in my mid 30s. Starting off with "only gonna camp in the summer" onto spending a week on skis in the mountains with a pulka and tent - and several weekends in the same fashion with temperatures down to -25/-30 C. And now in my early 40s - as a "failed student" soon midways into my bachelor's degree combined with full time work - and still getting pretty good results. Also gone from "I hate running" to "I LOVE running" and same with weight lifting also.

Now you are my inspiration to try to manage a busy life with some more home workouts and getting back into a more active life allthough my shcedule has gotten way more busier than before and finding time to move or exercise is soo hard. Really inspired by your channel, and absolutely sure I can do this! 💪

I was so used to get negative responses to my goals that I forgot to listen to the good ones. Now I’m doing what I want little by little ❤

Just spoke from my bottom of my heart. ❤ if your own path is different as it "supposed" to be seen as "normal", there will be challenges ahead of you. But those will lead to even a greater unique path. ❤ thanks so much for this amazing content/video. ❤ love the way how you explain and pour your heart into this. ❤😊

I’m on my own path to building the live that I want because of an injury; so I’m reading as much as I can about it, and the most surprising thing I learned was that in the end, self discipline it’s just really self love. Thanks for your content Lucy ❤ I’ll have my eyes open for friends like you 😂.

JFDI is just the advice I needed to hear--thank you! I have heard the similar "fake it til you make it" phrase many times, and I honestly HATE the "fake it" one. It feels so invalidating of whatever I'm going through, and also has a not-subtle message of "don't let people know you're struggling". JFDI doesn't have that same flavor of invalidation and pretend-you're-fine-ness to me.

I love your inspirational videos. Today I tried a bar muscle up I was always been afraid because in our gym the bar is too high and I’m short 😅 but today I just f%#*ing did. And it felt so good!! You’re such a ray of sunshine. Love you!! ❤❤

Completely agree.

It’s challenging because my husband & I do not follow social norms when it comes to work.
We spend a lot of time around each other because we back each other the most. Family, friends, people around us, etc. do not understand.

I FINALLY got to the “just freaking do it” stage. Yesterday. I reached out to potential clients to freelance. 🙏 Imposter syndrome is a horrible lair.

I've been trying to have this mentality recently. I went abseiling the other week despite my fear of heights and next weekend I'm attempting a 58km hike along the Jurrasic coast. Just keep asking myself 'why not?' when a new challenge comes up 😊

It's interesting to me that you've felt bad about being different and adventurous. I actually admire you for moving around and taking on challenges, especially so young! I stayed close to home for probably too long. I have no real regrets as things are great now--but I do sometimes want to do things I maybe missed out on.

I love this message. I'm going to attempt to dye a doll. I'm into the expensive ball jointed dolls, so its super intimidating to try and change a skin color. I've been putting it off for ages with the excuse of there is work to be done first and then there is never time to indulge in a hobby
