I have friends watching the show on Disney+ with me and then told me off that I spoiled it in the middle when I said he got shot.
I told them it was mentioned on the very first scene. It's like watching Titanic movie half way not knowing that the ship gonna sink.

I think one of the main reasons he did anything he did was so that he'd never be known by the name 'bastard' again. To be a bastard, according to an episode of Midsommer Murders means: "To wear the badge of shame. To forfeit all honour. To be mocked, scored, outcast forever." He doesn't want to go back to being that. And he doesn't want his children to grow up under that label.

As the oldest sibling in my family, I love this song so much... because lots of people, when talking about their siblings talk about how annoying they are or something along those lines... (which let me tell you is very much true) But what most stories and stuff usually avoid talking about one thing that most older siblings feel for their siblings... *Take care of them first.* I can not explain how beautiful this song is, because I can see myself doing this for one of my younger sisters in a heartbeat! In fact I have done it... (the guy ended up being a total douche in the end though) So when this song was playing, I was overjoyed by what it was about. I can talk for all older siblings when I say, we care for our younger siblings more than we let on. We pick on them because we love them, and we just want them to grow up strong and happy. This song is amazing, and I love Angelica’s character and how she was written with all of my heart!
