Native Watercraft Manta Ray 12XT (Part 3)
Since I recently bought this new kayak, I realized that I wasn't done yet... I still needed to stock up on the most important accessories! If you are getting ready to start kayak fishing, this video is a MUST WATCH!

Overall, I believe I covered most of the basics in this video but I definitely encourage you to stay tuned for future videos which will continue showcasing other kayak fishing tips. In the next episode in this series, I will cover down on rigging up an anchor trolley system.

*Full Disclosure* I have been accepted on the Native Watercraft Pro Staff. Don't worry though, I will continue to remain unbiased in all recommendations. You have my word!

Enjoyed that mate. Good one. I do my kayak fishing off the island of Gozo in the Mediterranean. I've added a few bits. Fish finder, rod holders up front for trolling, paddle kayak didn't have one as standard (it's French 🙄🙄). Milk crate? crate complete with old logo on the back of mine. You're right about the paddle. When I upgraded from the aluminium one, what a difference! Thanks again.

Just came across your video! Just bought myself a kayak (sit-in) to do some small pond and lake bass fishing. New sub from Michigan!

Ethan, that was a good, informative and entertaining show. Obviously you get a gold (or green, if you prefer) star for finally getting a floating net. Love the color btw. Yes, yes on paddle and pfd. I'm not going to mention the only remaining thing....but the initials sound like "fish finder." 😁 Don

I used an aluminum paddle with my sit in kayak, switched to a carbon and best accessory purchase I have made yet it’s so light. Hey you finally got a net! That looks like a nice one.

Ethan, I really enjoy your videos and your presentation. The first thing I noticed in this video was the K-State WILDCATS cup. I live in Kansas and am a huge fan! Keep the videos coming.

Great video buddy and way to brave the cold! I think you covered the basics for accessories that will get you on the water. Anything more just helps make it more enjoyable but I would include fish grips, weight scale, paddle holder if your yak doesn't come with one, maybe a rod holder, electronics such as a fish finder, and a boat load of other stuff. You know how it goes; you can keep it simple or you can bring everything but the kitchen sink. One thing though, before adding accessories or making mods (especially drill into your yak permanent mods), take your kayak out a time or 2 and see what it is that you really need and where you need to put it. I've seen cases where someone drilled in a rod holder and then realized their hand or paddle shaft hits it when they paddle. Or they bought rod holders and realize they'd rather just lay their rod down in front of them. Just some examples 👍

Good Job ... Paddle and PFD that is really all you need besides the fishing gear.

Love to know I'm not the only crazy Michigan angler out there in the snow! What are your thoughts on a fish finder for the yak? And if you get one for your new rig, will you mount it or get a portable one that syncs with your phone?

If you are kayaking in that cold of water, the 1st must have item you should have mentioned is a dry suit or paddling suit. If you were to fall in or flip wearing what you had on in this video, good luck to you trying to recover in those soaked clothes with locked up muscles!

My wife is "eavesdropping" over my shoulder as I watch these videos and says, "So this guy is basically you?" Cheers! I think you helped me find my new fish finder for my kayak and something to spend my Cabela's points on! (Don't be jealous, but the price has dropped $150 and appears to already include BOTH transducers in one package!)

New subscriber. Don't own a kayak yet but I'm researching. Down side is I know no one personally that owns one.

Hoping to get my first kayak soon. Are you concerned about loosing all your tackle if you tip over? Do you have it secured to the kayak somehow? Thanks and keep em coming.

The ONYX PFD is a great get. I picked one up as a second PFD to have around and it has become my primary. As always, great video.
