A little about me:

My name is Minoo. I’m originally from Iran, and I live and work in the U.K.

I’m a qualified English teacher and teacher trainer, but that’s not what makes me good at my job.

I just love teaching! It makes me feel good when I can share something I’ve learned with others. That’s why I still love teaching English after 40 years of doing it!

English is such a vast and complicated language! My passion is to make it as easy as possible for others to learn. My students always praise my ‘clear explanations’ and 'structured method'.

I suppose I can explain things well because I’m not a native speaker. I’ve struggled with English pronunciation, grammar, and vocabulary myself. I’ve had to work out the rules and learn the exceptions, and I just love sharing my own discoveries with others like me who are learning English as a foreign language.

Thank you so much, everyone, for all the ‘likes’ and your lovely and supportive comments! I'm so grateful for your support!

They are both correct. 'She is taller than him.' is more common, maybe because 'She is taller than he.' sounds very formal. Another option is to finish the sentence: 'She is taller than he is.'

"John is taller than I am."

I think Google covers translation into many languages including Arabic. However, I would highly recommend that you use an English-English dictionary online. All the big names are good: Collins, Oxford, Cambridge etc.

Annie is right. It looks like the Present Perfect, but it is just the expression that native speakers often use instead of 'I have to' = 'I've got to'.

You are right: 'get something done' is an alternative to 'have something done' (Causative). I cover this point in my video on the verb 'to have'.

I've seen lots of english lesson clips on this site but yours are the most helpful. They're very informative and very easy to understand. You really are a very good teacher, if not the best around here. Thank you so much for these wonderful videos. I've learned a lot from them especially the ones that featured the english tenses [I really had a hard time understanding these stuff until i came across your videos.] So again, thank you so much, Minoo.

The complete phrase is 'the missiles that are / were being fired'. It is possible to drop 'that are' or 'that were' to shorten the phrase.

'to' here is a preposition for the expression 'to look forward to'. The rule is if you put a verb after a prepostion, you must use the 'ing' form (gerund).

No, generally, for public transport (bus, train, plane, boat, tram, metro), you should use the preposition 'on', and for private transport (car, taxi), use into. However, note that you get on your bike, a horse etc.

You can watch them in any order according to your areas of difficulty. If you don't need to focus on specific areas, the I would recommend the following order:

1. All the videos on Listening and pronunciation
2. All the lessons on Tenses starting from lesson 1 and finishing with 'All Tenses'
3. The two lessons on Word Order
4. The lessons on Questions & Negatives
5. The lessons on Modal Verbs
6. The Conversation / Dialogue lessons
7. The Vocabulary lessons (get, have, make, do)
8. Conditionals

They are synonyms, but as you can see in your own example, they follow a different word order:
'Also' usually comes before the main verb, whereas 'too' usually comes at the end of the sentence.
