What a great video this was. I really enjoy seeing these scouting expeditions that you go on to get a feel for the land. It helps me get a sense of what the terrain looks like in the areas your in. A great expedition into the unknown. When a bird starts making loud ticking noises it is a warning to other birds that a predator is around it may be you or it might be something else. It pays to listen to bird calls.

Just imagine the government coming in one day to run you out of your lifetime home and everything you've known? These families had no choice but to give up everything they had, pack up and just leave, most likely not knowing where they were going. It is sad to see the remains of entire communities that were just abandoned. Along with the vicious creatures, the evil entities, and abandoned Indian areas with their burial grounds, along with the situations these families indured, just adds another element to the evil that now swallows this area.

That's exactly how I thought that field / place would look - me and the wife were there about six months ago. As an Appalachian biologist, it's very rare to get an owl call during the day like that, it's usually an hour after sundown at best. Owls are hardly ever a good sign unless they roost around you, that was odd.
