The heat is the cat according to other pepes and might be better with the skid plate removed. The RE dont have one and seems better. My Transalp got hotter when I fitted a skid plate. Good review, your manner helps a lot.

Cracking vlog kate, I loved the low-level camera view and then realised what had happened 😢. But it was a great review. the bike looks great.No heated grips, suzuki come on, certain bikes should have them fitted as standard for goodness sake 🙄. It's definitely one to try, I think 🤔

Well done Kate!!! Brilliant review as usual. I love the way you tackle these taller bikes. At 5.9" with a 30" inseam, taller bikes have always intimidated me a little bit. I sat on one of these 800DE bikes and I loved it, but it did feel like it was going to be a bit too much for commuting and light touring. I went with a 2023 V-Strom 650 XT, and I'm loving it so far. The old school is the GOOD school!!! 😉

That looks like a really competent bike, especially the 'green' lane bit. You seem to really enjoy that. Just a thought, instead of binning your bashed helmet, make it into a 'hanging basket', I've seen one and, it looked really well. 👍.

You can change the abs settings while on the fly. You have to let off the throttle completely and push down on the bottom arrow indicator for the menu selector

I think that people are simply tired of all the parallel twins being driven by a combination of production costs and emissions regulations. People don't hate parallel twins so much as they worry that will be all that is available soon.
